Pin together, right sides together, the lining and top fabric, on the top of the curtain and on both sides, up to 20 cm from the bottom.

Stitch straight 1.5 cm from the edges, open the seams with an iron, then turn the curtain over.

Using pins, on the top of the curtain, regularly distribute every 14 cm a fold 14 cm wide ... Please note, depending on the width of your curtain, you may need to increase or decrease this width of fold. The most important thing is the regularity of the distribution. t

Work on the back of the fabric to form beautiful, well-rounded folds, which will be on the right side of the fabric. Align the edges well on the marks marking the folds then pin the two thicknesses over the entire height of the fold, 15 cm.

When all your folds are marked, stitch them in the machine, directly on the place of the curtain, gently and carefully.

To make your round folds form perfectly, you can also make a few small stitches at the base of each fold.

To hang your beautiful curtain without any problem, sew a hook or a ring 4 cm from the upper edge of the curtain and on the seam line of each fold, as well as at each end of the curtain or simpler, apply a gathered tape and hang crochers.

Place your curtain on the rod.

The next day, mark the final height of your curtain with pins and unhook it.

With the iron, form a double reentry of 2 cm then 15 cm on the lining.

In the same way, form a reentry of 2 cm and 13 cm on the top fabric.

Sew the two hems separately in straight stitch. The lining should be slightly shorter than the top fabric. You will close the sides by hand with slipped stitches.

It is generally essential to assemble several strips of fabric to obtain the necessary width. In this case, even if it is a bit tedious because it increases the number of seams, you must always place the half-strips on the outer sides of the curtain, so as to have a whole strip in the center. For assembly, place the two strips one on top of the other, right sides together, aligning the edges to be sewn, pin and sew in straight stitch 1.5 cm from the edge. Cut off the excess fabric, then open the seams with an iron. If your fabric has a tendency to wrinkle, don't forget to notch it. To do this, make simple incisions with straight scissors in the excess fabric, perpendicular to the seam line. In the case of patterned fabric, mark with a rewind of 1.5 cm over a width of the fabric. Lay the other strip flat, pattern towards you. Position the piece with the tuck-in, respecting the fitting and pin, then stitch the two fabrics together in a straight line over the entire length of the tuck-in.
