Kitchenette, small kitchen, dinner kitchen ... Depending on the space allocated to the "heart of the house", the problem of storage affects us more or less. But we all agree: finding what you're looking for right away is nice.

The madmen of the jar

In recent years, we have seen an astronomical quantity of boxes, one prettier than the other, spread. For coffee, spaghetti, rice, lentils, tea bags, candies ... Go to your jars and jars, let's get rid of the motley and not very chic commercial packaging! The first advantage is that it is much easier to store boxes of the same size in a cupboard than to attempt a grouse with the sparse dimensions of the usual packaging. The second advantage is that we have much less desire to put everything in the closet, and that we even imagine a small visible row of jars: the transparencies that accommodate the very colorful spices would look really nice in terms of work, right? Or a sort of colorful picture in magnetic boxes?

Everyday life becomes decoration

Before, homes often had a huge dresser that contained absolutely everything: the battery of pans, large dishes ... Today these large buffets find their place in apartments less easily: so what to do with its contents? Simply show it! The teapot, placed on a beautiful wall shelf, becomes decoration. The cups, in harmony with the colors of your kitchen, line up in suspension on small hooks. The knives are magnetized on the side of a piece of furniture, the practical utensils (salad servers, spatulas, whisk, ...) form a colorful bouquet in a vase near the stove. Of course, this is another way to buy your accessories: they must be practical, pretty, and fitting with your decoration. But ... Who would complain? In addition, there are no shortage of beautiful ideas.

The closets have not said their last word!

As mentioned above, if we cannot enlarge the cupboards, we can however reduce the spaces between the elements it contains, by replacing the commercial packaging with boxes that are easy to fit. But sometimes there are spaces between your storage furniture and the wall, and that's a shame! Of course, you can slide the vacuum cleaner and the brooms in it, but as it is not the most beautiful effect, it is not our plan A. Plan A is to slide a storage with atypical dimensions! Shelves to accommodate cookbooks or vases, a small trolley on wheels, a sliding cupboard, wine racks ... And under your storage units, also think of the plinth drawers! In addition, there are over-furniture that complement your existing kitchen elements. Take them preferably in glass, for a minimal visual bulk.

Interior layout

It sounds obvious, but what is most useful to you in your kitchen should also be the most accessible. In July, therefore, the raclette machine moves back to the bottom of the cupboard, in favor of your collection of salad bowls. Behind your closet fronts, we prefer storage drawers, so that you can pull them out and easily access the items stored at the bottom. If it is necessary to stack, we stack, pots, dishes, but above all we do not forget: what makes the least space lost is to have identified the best way to do it and not (too) to let ourselves be exceed. And the less space we have, the more the ingenious tricks, magnetic bar, splashback bar, corner cupboards, sliding doors ... become your allies for a pleasant and tidy kitchen!

Spatial planning

For practical and daily questions, certain arrangements appear essential: it is quite comfortable when the dishes do not store very far from the dishwasher, it is practical to have a clear work plan when you take something out of the oven , it is no coincidence that the trash can is often found under the sink, the glasses above, and if space is limited, we agree to change some often family habits: household products do not need to sit in the kitchen, the tools either, and ... Admit: wouldn't you have a drawer precisely intended for the small bazaar?
